Canine Good Citizen Graduating Teams
Spring 2011 July 2011
The CGC Evaluating/Tester Team would like to mention at this time that the Golden Retriever(Emmett) who graduated in July is also Blind. Emmett's owner has learned through the obedience classes he has taken at CDA and with the help of other CDA members and through his own determination and devotion to his dog how to adjust commands to aid Emmett. Their goal for the future is to continue training in order to build Emmett's confidence in various situations and surroundings so that they can go on to become a Therapy Dog Team. We believe that Emmett and his owner will achieve this and we will assist them in any way that we can, and that Emmett with his handicap will make an AWESOME Therapy Dog - an Inspiration to us all here at Car-Dun-AL and to the many new friends they will make in the future doing Therapy Dog visits.
Not to slight any of our other Graduates we are Proud of you ALL and hope to see and hear about your future achievements!
